She had a plan to create an online program that would examine the role of gender in games and was then the victim of a harassment campaign online. The harassment didn't discourage her. The experience only strengthened her as a feminist journalist. The award-winning journalist has received numerous accolades for her numerous significant contributions to the world of feminism. Anita Sarkeesian was a multi-award winner for her work as a journalist. She also serves as the director and founder of Feminist Frequency an educational non-profit organization that explores pop culture gender representations.
